Petition: Install park and play equipment at Coronation Field

We, the undersigned residents of Dodworth, call on Barnsley Council to install new park and play equipment at Coronation Field, including an expanded play area and a multi-use games area (MUGA).

Attendees at my Pride in Dodworth meeting raised concerns about the lack of high-quality outdoor spaces for families and young people. Coronation Field is well used and valued by our community, but it requires better maintenance and upgraded infrastructure to properly benefit local people — including an expanded play area and a multi-use games area, particularly for older children, who are currently underserved.

I am already writing to Barnsley Council to request a new bench and pathways for Coronation Field. This petition focuses on the next step: getting proper park and play equipment installed.

Dodworth's children and families deserve outdoor spaces that match how much this park is used and loved.
