Petition: Upgrade the play equipment at Mortomley Park

We, the undersigned residents of High Green, call on Sheffield City Council to upgrade the play equipment at Mortomley Park, including new equipment for younger children and outdoor gym facilities for older children and adults.

Residents attending the Pride in High Green meeting raised concerns about the condition of Mortomley Park, describing the play equipment as outdated and in need of renewal. With another local playground decommissioned some years ago, Mortomley is now relied on more heavily than ever, but families say it no longer matches how much it is used and valued. Residents were clear they want the park properly revamped and kept nice, not lost altogether — with better equipment for younger children and outdoor gym facilities to give older children and adults a reason to use the space too.

Marie Tidball MP is already raising wider community space and maintenance concerns for High Green with Sheffield City Council. This petition focuses on the next step: getting proper play and outdoor gym equipment installed at Mortomley Park.

High Green's children and families deserve a park that matches how much it is used and loved.
