Two Trains an Hour

The Penistone Line connects our communities with jobs, education, healthcare, family and friends across South and West Yorkshire, but an hourly service simply isn’t good enough. I have been campaigning for the full Penistone Line upgrade, including the second phase needed to deliver two trains an hour, alongside faster and more reliable journeys and better, more accessible stations.

I am now launching my Penistone Line Pledge, bringing residents, local organisations and communities along the route together behind a clear demand: deliver the full Penistone Line upgrade and two trains an hour. I will use the strength of local support to keep making our case to Government, transport partners and everyone involved in the future of the line.
